Dear Region III Members,
NCURA Region III is seeking nominations for the positions of:
- Chair-Elect
- Treasurer-Elect
- Secretary
Please consider whether you or a colleague may wish to serve NCURA Region III in one of these roles.
The Chair-Elect will serve as an executive officer of Region III and will work closely with the Chair to represent all members of the region at NCURA meetings, activities, and other functions as necessary. The Chair-Elect will assist the current Chair with regional matters as needed and shall assume the office of Regional Chair at the expiration of the Chair’s elected term of office or should the Chair otherwise become unable to serve. The Chair-Elect shall serve as Chair of the Program Committee to plan and coordinate the Region III Spring Meeting and shall appoint committee members as appropriate to help in the planning process. The Treasurer-Elect serves as a member of both the Executive Committee and the Community Engagement Committee. The Treasurer-Elect will be charged with assisting the Treasurer with annual regional meeting fiscal responsibilities and financial reports as needed. The Secretary serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as Chair of the Communication Committee. The Secretary is responsible for all non-financial records of the Region. Additionally, the Secretary records the minutes of regional business meetings and provides all other information and documentation required by the Chair to prepare reports to the Regional Executive Committee and National Organization. If you would like to nominate a candidate, please e-mail their name and contact information to Scott Niles (s.niles@moreheadstate.edu) on or before Thursday, June 1, 2017. Nominees will be contacted for biographical information and to confirm willingness to serve.
Persons nominating themselves should send in their contact information and a brief bio (no longer than one page in length) at their earliest convenience (prior to the deadline). The Regional Executive Committee shall review all nominations and finalize a slate of candidates. Region III membership will be notified when electronic ballots are available.
