Region III Events at AM59!

The NCURA Annual Meeting is almost here! Stop by any of the following events to see your fellow flamingos!

Region III Night at the Museum- Saturday, August 5th, 6:00-8:30 PM at the National Geographic Museum 

For those of you going on to the museum, this event is free of charge for Region III members. You’ll have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the National Geographic Museum – a nonprofit scientific and educational organization dedicated to exploring our planet, protecting wildlife and habitats, and helping assure that students in K-12 are geographically literate. Sharks, admire and learn about this incredible creature’s important role in our ecosystem through National Geographic photographer Brian Skerry’s exhibition. Earth Explorers, learn about the important work National Geographic Explorers are doing all over our planet.  Explore six themed and immersive environments through this hands-on exhibit – including a simulated hot air balloon ride to track migrating herds! Shuttle Buses will run from 5:30 to 9:30 between the Museum and the Hotel.

Welcome Reception for New Members & First Time Attendees- Sunday, August 6th, 5:45-6:15 PM in the Region III Hospitality Suite: 

This prestigious event is a great opportunity for you to meet the Region III Leadership Team, New Member Committee and get to know your fellow colleagues before we head to the NCURA AM59 Opening Reception and Sunday Dinner.  All attendees will receive a Region III inspired welcome gift. Region III Business Meeting- Monday, August 7th, 3:00 PM, International Ballroom East (Concourse Level)

Hospitality Suite, aka The NetZone!- Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 9:00-11:30 PM in the Kalorama Room

The following exciting events are planned:

Sunday night:  Be one of the first 1000 folks to the NetZone! area and receive a ribbon to wear on your badge.

Monday night:  A Taste of the Region.  Each region will feature a food that represents their region for everyone to try.  There will be limited quantities so please eat dinner before you arrive.

Plan to visit each regions NetZone! room to join in the fun of karaoke, playing cards, a photo booth, and much more!
